This web site helped me out a lot by telling me why he chose the colors he chose. Why he did he put the things he put into the painting and so on, Why was there a need for people to be dieing all around the picture. The reason why there was such a massive chaos going on while the king was just sitting there and watching all the women die in front of him.

This website has a lot of chemicals and what colors they make.

Pigments and the history of them

http://webexhibits.org/pigments/intro/early.html

From this website I found out that before we had all this technology, back then we had to use animals, vegetables or iron oxide found in the ground. They also state that people had to travel very far just to find a red pigment so they could use it to paint. They also were limited to the three basic colors that were red, black, and yellow. Red, yellow, and browns came from the limonites and hematites with are (ochres and siennas), that was a range of reddish brown with is evident in the paintings.

The through the middle ages mineral pigments were used the most by painters in the 1900’s for example one of them is iron oxide that helped them make multiple colors.

Purpose of this blog

Hi, Welcome to my blogger account. The purpose of this blog will be used for listing helpful information on the stuff I find about. Some of these well be about art history, industrial revolution history and about WWI and WWII. I will also add some of my reactions to the topic or what I learned. I think that I might add some of the pictures from my art journal, and the projects we will be working on called (Art)ifacts.
